Sikhism by W Owen Cole (Teach Yourself Series) Publisher: NTC Publishing Group – describes Sikh history and life style (170 pg).
The Heritage of the Sikhs by Harbans Singh Publisher: Manohar (India) – clear and authoritative.
The Sacred Writings of the Sikhs – UNESCO collection Publisher: George Allen & Unwin Ltd – a beautiful translation of some scriptures but is difficult to get.

Publisher – HarperSan Francisco – a contemporary translation of selected scriptures
